Roasted Brussel Sprouts

They’re an acquired taste, the old Brussels, but I loveeee them! I don’t know what peoples vendetta is with them to be honest, their just harmless baby cabbages  really! – leave them aloneeeee.  If you’re not a fan yourself or you have a dinner guest that is coming over for Christmas Dinner who isn’t keen, try this little recipe and I can confidently say that you will be won/win them over

You will need: Brussels, trimmed and yellow bits removed ( I like to think of the yellow bits as their little coats ) – 3 tbs Olive Oil – 1tsp salt – 1/2 tsp ground black pepper – Resealable bag

Method: Pre heat your oven to 180c/gas mark 5 -Place all ingredients in the resealable bag and give a good shake to coat well – Empty on to a baking tray and place in the oven, leaving to cook for 30-45 minutes, shaking every 7 minutes to ensure an even cook – When ready the Brussels should be a dark colour as show in picture

& there you have them. You know when you eat some nice beef and its so tender it ‘melts in your mouth” that’s exactly how I can describe how these Brussels will be! Enjoy and let me know what you think!
