In recent years, Charcoal has been all the rage when it comes to health and beauty products. Charcoal deeply cleanses the skin and gives it a gorgeous glow. It gently cleanses, exfoliates and absorbs excess oils.
This week I learnt that it is now being used to help whiten teeth, which I will be testing and reviewing myself in the next coming weeks. For now though I wanted to share with you my beloved all time favourite ‘ Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask ‘ – I tell anyone that will listen about this product and I couldn’t love it anymore! My skin has always been very sensitive and reacts at a drop of a hat, especially where Face Masks are concerned, however this leaves my skin feeling soft, cleansed and no redness in sight.
It is of a thick consistency however very easy to apply which is ideal for me because I am very slapdash and messy. What I love most about this product is that it self-heats to open up the pores so that the charcoal and kaolin clay can draw out impurities from deep within the skin. The essential Myrrh Oil leaves the complexion soothed and calm. When I am nursing a hangover, this is as vital to me as a bacon sandwich and cuppa tea! A hot bath and this self-heating mask helps to draw out any of my sins from the night before.
I use no more than 3 times a week, and I will say that the joy about this product is that it does everything it needs to do in just 5 minutes… which for a Mum on the go is even moreee ideal! There is no point leaving it on any longer because it will not make a difference. Remove with warm water or with the help of a soft flannel or muslin cloth. My preference is a muslin cloth as you can really get into the nooks and crannies around your nose!
Apologies, without my eyebrows on I look like an alien!
Follow with your favourite Moisturiser and will feel pampered and relaxed!
It retails at £10 in Boots however if you grab it at the moment it is currently on offer for £7.50. A little goes a long way too so it will be sure to last you a while!
